You might say that road trips are having a major moment right now. And you know what—so am I!! 🤩🚘🤠
Guess who chose to partner with ME, @ArcticTumbleweed, road-tripping extraordinaire, frequenter of the roads less traveled and interstates alike! Super 8 by Wyndham, aka the first brand that comes to mind when you envision a classic U.S. road trip. To me, this is the partnership equivalent of bacon teaming up with eggs—another epic, dynamic duo I’m thrilled to embrace.
I have to extend a HUGE thank you to @Super8 for paving the way for me to do what I live to do—hit the wide-open road with a full tank of wanderlust and a compass aimed at adventure. What a monumental milestone this is in my road-tripping career.
“Just a quick weekend away,” I say, fibbing to myself from the start. One night quickly turns to several, and an estimated 150-miler somehow becomes a 500-miler because there’s just so much to see—EVERYWHERE—even just a few miles outside of our own backyards.
And there’s getting out of town, and then there’s venturing so far out that you pass through farmlands, forests, and new cities. This journey took me through New London, New Haven, New Britain, and everything awesome in between. With fresh eyes and old tires, I toured the highways and byways I’ve been driving for years. I followed familiar roads to newfound routes and the natural wonders and retro diners they were built to lead me to.
